Biography Continued

Jorge de Paz continues his struggle today against the abuse of power, discrimination, impunity and social inequality. There have been many organizations that recognized the sacrifice Jorge de Paz has had to endure — many times alone since he discovered that many of his collaborators choose to pursue goals other than the pure satisfaction of achieving justice and equality for their countrymen.
Jorge de Paz has been called upon to speak at different universities in Canada such as University of Alberta, Augustana University College as well as in many secondary and elementary schools in Mexico and Guatemala. He was also invited to guide refugees at Casa Ajusco and Casa Chile in Mexico. As recognition for all those year of work in the field of human rights, the majors of the prairies in Guatemala named him "Guatemalan Ambassador of Peace." Also in this many years of work, Jorge de Paz had been interviewed by hundreds of newspapers, radios and television new casts, he has also appeared on the very popular Spanish talk show "Show de Cristina" which is one of the most popular shows in the United States of America.


Jorge de Paz has stood tall against corruption and abuse without concern for his own well being and has had to endure many of this fights alone. This is why his interview with a Canadian newspaper has the heading "Jorge de Paz Shows that One Man Can Make A Difference."

Jorge de Paz is the author of the novels The Kidnap and The Torture and Imprisoned in Hell. The first book was edited and published in Mexico and the second one is about to be published. In these two books, Jorge de Paz describes and condemns violations to human rights suffered not only by himself, but also those he has seen committed against others. With these books Jorge de Paz urges governments and private citizens alike to unite in the fight against human rights violations.
